Needed Ingredients


  Chingri shutki- 1 ½  cup

  Chopped onion- 1 ½  cup

  Sliced garlic- ½ cup

  Turmeric Powder- ½ tsp

  Dry red chili- 4-5 pieces

  Soybean oil- ½ cup

  Chopped Ginger- ½ cup

  Salt to taste

  Coriander leaves 


Chingri Shutki Vorta Recipe

Before jumping to the cooking, you have to clean the chingri shutki very well. To ensure a proper clean, take all the chingri shutki in a bowl and add boiled hot water to it. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.

After that, rub the dry fish very well and remove all the dirt and dust it has.

Change the water for 3 or more times and wash the chingri shutki very well. This is how you can clean your shutki to maintain proper hygiene. Now that you have cleaned the sutki, let’s start the cooking process.


Step 1: Take a frying pan and add some soybean oil. Fry 4-5 dry red chili in that oil. Fry both sides of the chili very well until they get a bit blackish. Take them out when done.


Step 2: Now add some more soybean oil to the same pan and put all the chingri shutki in it. Fry them for 4-5 minutes in medium heat. You don’t need to fry them for a long time. Take them out when done.


Step 3: Now add some more soybean oil to the same pan and add chopped onion, garlic, ginger, turmeric powder. Fry them for some minutes until they turn brown.


Step 4: Take a mini grinder and add 3 or more green chilies, salt, and some water to make the chili paste. Now, add all the ingredients you fried and blend them all. Add some coriander leaves for flavor. Don’t put hot ingredients in the grinder. Cool them all before blending. Your chingri shutki bhorta is ready.

  Chingri shutki- 1 cup

  Chopped onion- 1 cup

  Sliced garlic- ½ tsp

  Garlic and ginger paste- 1 tsp (each)

  Turmeric Powder- ½ tbsp

  Coriander and chili powder- 1 tsp (each)

  Dry red chili- 4-5 pieces

  Soybean oil- ½ cup

  Water- 1 cup

  Salt to taste

Chingri Shutki Bhuna Cooking Process


Step 1: Add some oil to a pan and fry 1 cup of chopped onion in it. When they turn golden, add garlic and ginger paste and mix them well for a minute.


Step 2: Add half a cup of water to the mixture. Now, add turmeric, chili, salt, and coriander powder to it. Keep cooking them for 4-5 minutes.


Step 3: Add 4-5 green chili and sliced garlic to the pan. Give it a good stir and mix all the ingredients very well. Add some water if needed.

Step 4: Now put all the chingri shutki into the mixture and keep stirring until they are well mixed. Now, cover the pan with a lid and wait for 10 minutes. Before you finish your cooking add some coriander leaves to it. Your chingri shutki bhuna is ready.
